About Dr Daniel George
Dr Daniel George is a Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the Duke University School of Medicine, with joint appointments in the Divisions of Medical Oncology and Urology. He is also Director of Genitourinary (GU) Oncology at the Duke Cancer Institute and Co-Leader of the Duke Cancer Institute’s Prostate and Urologic Cancer Center. A recognized leader in urologic oncology, Dr George specializes in the care of patients with prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers.
As a physician-scientist, Dr George leads clinical research programs focused on improving outcomes for patients with advanced GU malignancies. His work spans biomarker-driven clinical trials in patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer, and investigations into cancer biology and therapeutic resistance.
Dr George is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and is an active contributor to national guideline committees, including those of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. He is recognized for his commitment to advancing equity in cancer care and for fostering multidisciplinary collaboration.
