PTEN deficiency leading to PI3K/AKT pathway activation is a common path to disease progression in prostate cancer.9

Testing for PTEN deficiency, a prognostic biomarker, can identify more aggressive forms of mHSPC and may allow for future biomarker-driven treatment strategies, before progression to mCRPC.5,9
