About Dr Jason Hafron
Dr Jason Hafron is the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Clinical Research at the Michigan Institute of Urology. He is also a Professor of Urology at the William Beaumont School of Medicine, Oakland University in Royal Oak. He is experienced in all areas of adult urology, with a specialization in the minimally invasive treatment of cancers involving the prostate, kidney and bladder using laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr Hafron has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presents regularly at many national and international scientific meetings. He is the principal investigator for multiple clinical research trials at the Michigan Institute of Urology, and is the recipient of many clinical research awards.
He serves on the editorial board of International Urology and Nephrology, Urology Times and Urologists in Cancer Care. Additionally, he previously served on the board of directors of the United Physicians Organization and currently serves on the board of directors for the Large Group Practice Association. He has been repeatedly named “Top Doctor” by Hour Detroit Magazine and by Castle Connolly.
