About Dr Neeraj Agarwal
Dr Neeraj Agarwal is a Professor of Medicine and Presidential Endowed Chair of Cancer Research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah. He also directs the Genitourinary Oncology Program and the Center of Investigational Therapeutics. A medical oncologist, Dr Agarwal is an internationally recognized physician-scientist in genitourinary (GU) cancers, with a particular focus on prostate cancer.
He has received multiple mentorship honors and numerous awards for his contributions to oncology, including the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) Young Investigator Award, the William D. Odell Young Investigator Award, a National Cancer Institute Cancer Clinical Investigator Team Leadership Award and recognition as a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
Dr Agarwal has authored or co-authored over 500 scientific publications and numerous book chapters and abstracts. He has served as a panel member for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the European Society for Medical Oncology and ASCO guidelines committees for GU cancers, and led the early therapeutics program for the SWOG GU cancers committee for more than a decade. In addition, he has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology and European Urology. He currently serves as an ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Advisory Panel member and as Chief Editor of the ASCO Daily News.
